Oath Amulets (Pair)
These amulets are sold as a matching pair, each one making up the two sides of the jaw of a single Hare. The pendants features real matching Hare jawbones, entombed within layers of copper & nickel through a process of electroforming. These amulets have been created as a sacred, interconnected pair, imbued with the same source of earth magick and intended as bonding amulets between lovers, soul friends, or kin.
The Hare was a sacred and mystical animal to the Celts, a symbol of abundance, prosperity and good fortune. According to Celtic folklore, the Hare was believed to have connections to the Otherworld. In myth, the Hare was linked to Celtic goddesses of fertility, both of spring and of the harvest.
The bones used to create these amulets were scavenged ethically and were found in the alpine regions of Te Waipounamu, New Zealand.
All electroformed surfaces are coated with a clear sealant to prevent tarnishing and oxidisation.
Measurements:
Pendant: Each pendant is approximately 8cm length x 4cm width at widest point
Chain: Each chain is a 60cm stainless steel chain with a lobster claw clasp
Please contact me prior to purchase if you wish to enquire about altering chain length adjustments.
