Maw Amulet
This amulet features the real, ethically scavenged jawbone of a Cat, entombed within layers of copper and nickel through a process of electroforming, and adorned with a small Smokey Quartz crystal.
In Celtic mythology, Cait Sidhe is believed to be a magical cat with connections to the faerie realm. During the ancient festival of Samhain, offerings of milk were left out to appease Cait Sidhe, as it was believed the cat could either bless a home with abundance and prosperity, or curse it with misfortune. During the time of the witch trials in Europe, cats were often considered to be the familiars of witches.
All electroformed surfaces are coated with a clear sealant to prevent tarnishing and oxidisation
Measurements:
Pendant: 8cm length x 4cm width at widest point
Chain: 45cm stainless steel chain with a lobster claw clasp
Please contact me prior to purchase if you wish to enquire about altering chain length adjustments.
